Date de décès : 27 février 2018
We, the family of Margaret “Marge” “Granny” Keller, regret to announce her passing on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born November 11, 1917, in Sydney Mines, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Katherine (Vance) Tuba.
Margaret was a member of the former Trinity United Church, Whitney Pier and the United Mission. She worked at the Steel Plant Restaurant, Mr. Green’s Store and as a seamstress for Mrs. Liktor. Granny was very family orientated. She enjoyed parties with family and friends and it was a “must” to have music included. Mom loved life and had various interests, which included, politics, figure skating, reading the Cape Breton Post, watching the news and animals, especially cats, dogs and horses. She looked forward to her weekly outings at Burger King, followed by hairdo sessions and grocery shopping. Granny’s daily chore was to take care of the family dog, Farrley, which she did with much love and attention. Mom was kind, generous and caring to all and worried about family and friends. Her passing will leave a big void in many lives.
Margaret is survived by her daughters, Judy (Ralph) Jeans and Jane Keller; son, Kenny (Valerie) Keller; special daughter, Phyllis Arthur; sisters, Irene Tuba and Velma Scott; grandchildren, Bill (Anne) Farr, Natalie (Blaine) Gallaway, Dwayne (Martha) Keller, Jonathan (Nancy) Keller and Heather (Kent Whitfield) MacLellan; great-grandchildren, Abbey, Olivia, Audrey, Jack, Maddy Jo and Brayden.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; sisters, Helen Stephenson (Mike), Mary Nagy (Frank) and Gizella Tuba; granddaughter, Annette Margaret MacLellan; and special aunt, Jennie Vance.
A funeral service will be held at the United Heritage Church on Saturday, March 10 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Rosemary Godin officiating. Please join the family for a time of fellowship following the service. Interment in Hardwood Hill Cemetery at a later date.

I Said A Prayer For You Today
I said a prayer for you today
And know God must have heard,
I felt the answer in my heart
Although He spoke no word.
I asked for happiness for you
In all things great and small,
But it was for His loving care
I prayed the most of all.
