It is with heavy hearts that the family of Joan Eva Pellerin, age 84, of Amherst, announce her passing on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at the East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash, NS.
Born in Amherst, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Eva (Landry) Tower.
In her younger years, Joan worked at Canadian Assemblies in Amherst and later worked for the Fisher Motel and retired from the Comfort Inn in Amherst in 1999.
Joan enjoyed playing cards, bingo, skating, and played basketball in high school.
She is survived by her husband Henry Jr., two daughters Barbara Tabor of Kitchener, ON and Linda O’Regan (Arthur) of Amherst, grandsons Adam and Brett Tabor, granddaughter Aleshia O’Regan, two brothers Fred Tower (Betty) of Springhill and Walter “Bucky” Tower of Amherst, nieces Susan, Vicky, Sandra, and Shirley; nephews Michael, Carl, Tony, and Donnie. Besides her parents, Joan was predeceased by one brother Carl in infancy, as well as sister Helen (Charles) Chambers.
As per Joan’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Campbell’s Funeral Home, Amherst (902) 667-9906.
A graveside service will take place in the spring in the St. Charles-Nativity Cemetery.
In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Joan’s memory can be made to the charity of your choice.
