It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Agnes Grace Walsh, age 79, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, on Friday March 9, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. She had resided at the Northside Community Guest Home since 2012
Born in North Sydney, March 28, 1938, Agnes was the daughter of the late Stephen and Madeline (Bona) MacDonald. Her favorite times were when she was surrounded by family and friends in her home enjoying one of her large home cooked meals.
Agnes is survived by her son, Ricky (Nancy) Walsh, North Sydney; daughter-in-law, Brenda Walsh, Fort MacMurray; sister, Mary Boyd, Sydney Mines, and brother, Kevin (Shirley) MacDonald, North Sydney. Also, her much loved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Agnes was predeceased by her husband, Bernard Walsh; daughter, Laurnice Walsh; very recently by her son, Perry Walsh; brothers, Chalmers MacDonald, Jackie MacDonald and Harvey MacDonald, and sister, Peggy McKnight.
A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney with Father Patrick O’Neill officiating. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Sydney at a later date.
Memorial donation may be made to a charity of choice.
