SCOTT, Susan Jean – 60, Bible Hill, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of Margaret Freda (Rushton) Scott, Bible Hill, and the late Arthur Rae Scott. Susan was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church, Truro, and worked as a nurse’s assistant at various places. She loved her cat, Bella, dog, Remington, and all kinds of music. Susan was an avid lover of watching baseball, especially her beloved Toronto Blue Jays, and very rarely missed a game on TV. She was also a huge fan of her grandchildren’s hockey and baseball teams. She was a very spiritual minded person and was very proud of her Scottish/Irish heritage, and Londonderry, where her family was from. Along with her mother, Susan is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Curren, Truro; son, Walter (Melissa) Curren, North River; grandchildren, Colin, Celine, Stephen, William, Cheyla, Kobe, Alyssa; sister, Krista (Glen) Henderson, North River; brother, Paul (Suzie) Scott, Lake Echo; niece, Emma Henderson, North River; nephew, Aidan Henderson, North River; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Along with her father, she was predeceased by her children’s father, Stephen Curren. Special thanks to the VON and Palliative Care Team (CEHHC) for your wonderful care, love and support. Private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Hillcrest Cemetery, Londonderry, The Reverend Lori Ramsey officiating. If so desired, donations in Susan’s memory to IWK Health Centre Foundation, where her youngest grandsons were born, are welcomed.
