Ruth U. MacArthur

MacArthur, Ruth U. – Age 93 of Truro; It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ruth MacArthur on March 13, 2018 in Cedarstone Enhanced Care home, Truro. Ruth was the daughter of the late T.G. and Hilda (Knickle) Taylor and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Ruth was brought up in Truro and lived in Truro most of her life. She designed and sewed outfits to be worn in Show Classes, helped with the grooming of the horses, helped clean and prepare the race car, and always made sure everyone had something to eat or drink. Mum could ALWAYS be counted on to do whatever she could do to help, whether it be baking cookies to keep everyone’s energy up or working as Registrar for the corner marshals in the early days of Atlantic Motorsport Park in Shubenacadie with her sons. Ruth loved sewing and quilting and made her own clothes and clothes for her daughters-in-law and grandchildren.
