William Henry Young, age 72, a resident of Mill Creek, and formerly of Alder Point, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 19, 2018, at home, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Alder Point on July 27, 1945, he was the son of the late Henry and Thelma (LeBlanc) Young.
Dad worked as a fisherman in his younger years. Later, in his retirement, he enjoyed the simple things; hunting, fishing, camping in the Highlands, and spending time with his family, who he adored.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jane (Devoe) Young; and his children, Marie, Heather, Kathy (Mark Boudreau), and Shirley (Jason Jessome). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Cody, Christina, Allison, James, Justin, Mark Jr., Courtney, Aaron, Amanda and Sara; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Bernie and Brian; and sisters, Ann, Rita, Marie, Josephine, Noella and Darlene.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, William; brothers, Joseph, Steven, Wally and Willard.
His family would like to thank Dr. Paul Hickey for the care given to William over the years.
There will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation has taken place.
