REESE, William George “Bill” ~ age 83 of Nictaux, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 in the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. Bill was born in Bridgetown, on February 12, 1935 to the late Percy Eugene and Alva Florence (Glavin) Reese. He served with the RCAF for fifteen years, with a posting in England for 4 years, as well as a variety of other postings. He then worked in various positions concluding with being Chairman of Resources Development at Holland College, PEI. He was fortunate to travel extensively in this position. Bill was the second child of a family of thirteen. He was a member of Wilmot Baptist Church and played an active role in many capacities. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda (Carey-Reese); children, Judith Kidd, Brampton, ON; Cheryl (Ted Lewis) Balcom, St. Catharines, ON; Wendy (Glen MacNevin) Reese, Summerside, PEI; Andrew (Nornie), Middle Sackville; Deborah (Sean) Higgins, Saint John, NB; sisters, Helen “Betty” (Donald) Zwicker, Stouffville, ON; Louise (Greg) FitzGerald, Bedford; Gail (Raymond) Toole, Bridgetown; Judith “Judee” Reese, Hamilton, ON; brothers Donald “Donnie”, Cannington, ON; Frank (Sandy) Upper Granville; Percy “Eugene” (Marion Degroot) Markham, ON; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by his sister Dorothy Mae Parker; brothers Chester Eugene, Waller Owen, Paul Arnold and one brother in infancy. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, March 29th in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 902-825-3448 with Rev. Julia Howard officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Donations in memory may be made to Wilmot Baptist Church or to a charity of choice. A special Thanks goes out to Dr. C.
