At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, April 6, 2018 of Ida Gertrude Carpenter of Charlottetown, formerly of Souris West, PE. She is survived by her sisters Mary MacAleer, Anne Chaisson, Evelyn MacPhee (Joe), and her brother Jim Carpenter (Linda). She will be missed by her numerous nieces and nephews, and special friend Donnie Gallant. Predeceased by brothers Peter, Joe, and Norbert Carpenter; brothers-in-law Freddy Chaisson and Lloyd MacAleer, and nephew Joey Carpenter. Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home with visiting hours on Monday, April 9, 2018 from 4-9pm, and Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 9-10:30 a.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in St. Alexis Church cemetery. If so desired, donations in memory of Ida can be made to the St. Alexis cemetery fund, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
