DUNN, JOHN K. - The unexpected, sudden death of John Kenneth Dunn of Saint John occurred on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at his residence, following a brief illness. John was born at Saint John on December 20, 1970, and grew up in Grand Bay Westfield. He was the son of Janette (Stevens) Dunn and the late Ronald J. Dunn. John was a proud member of the IBEW Local 502, and worked as an electrician at the Irving Oil Refinery for eleven years prior to an auto accident that left him disabled in 2008. John was involved in many sports and outdoor activities prior to his accident, and was also very involved in every aspect of his boys’ lives and their activities. John leaves to mourn his wife, Marissa; sons Alexandre and Isaac, and their mother Chantal Dubé; siblings Ronald P. (Lisa), Robert (Annie), Ronald J. (Audrey), Brenda, and Lorna Deveau (Jack); a niece, Ricki; nephews Thomas, Jayden, Joshua, Joseph, Kyle, and Ryan; and a special family friend, Lois Flann. John was predeceased by his father, Ronald James Dunn, in 1984.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425), with visiting on Friday, May 20, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 10:00 AM from Bay View Chapel. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
