Nany Lee (DeBreau) Smith
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our much-loved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Nancy Smith (DeBreau) at home on Monday, April 16, 2018. Born in Sydney, she is the daughter of the late Louis and Magdaline (Penny) DeBreau. She will be lovingly missed by her daughter, Michelle Smith; son-in-law, Darren Fraser and daughter-in-law, Allison Smith; her grandbabies whom she loved and adored, Noah, Amy, Jeremy, and Sloan. brothers and sisters, Louis (Dorothy), Joyce (Moe), Wayne (Pat), Lawrence (Rita) and Heather. Brothers and sisters-in-law, Kay (Junior), Donnie (Connie), Lou (Tom), Martin, Robbie (Pat); nieces and nephews, Shawna, Kerry, John-Blair, Rose, Lawrence Jr., Darren, Diane and Glenn, Brenda, Patti, Donnie, Tracey, Tammy, Hector, Glenna, Alton. Nancy is predeceased by her brother, Victor DeBreau 2000; son, James Joseph “Jay” Smith, March 2013, and husband, Michael James “Jimmy” Smith, November 2016,
Cremation has taken place, visitation for Nancy will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 2-4and 7-9 p.m., at the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. Celebration of life will be held the following day April 25, at 1 p.m.) in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
