It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Mervin Burt of Ivany’s Cove announces his passing on Tuesday May 17, 2011 at the age of 45 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his wife Gail; daughter Ashley (Andrew Prince) of Clarenville; granddaughter Kyleigh; parents Neil and Florence Burt of Ivany’s Cove; sisters: Glenys Bailey and husband Glen of Ivany’s Cove, Ruby Cooper and husband Robert of Queen’s Cove, Rowena Gosse and husband Calvin of Ivany’s Cove; brother Lloyd of Moncton NB plus many nieces, nephews and a large circle of other family and friends. Funeral service was officiated by Pastor Glenn Jarvis from Grace United Church Hillview on Sunday May 22, 2011 with interment following at Hillview United Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Lloyd Burt (Brother and Honorary Pallbearer), Nephews: Kevin Gosse, Jody Gosse, Trevor Cooper, Gary Cooper, Jamie Parsons and Brother in Law Glen Bailey.
