It is with heavy hearts, the family announce the passing of Jake on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Walter Templeman Hospital, Bell Island at the age of 93. He is predeceased by his loving wife Daisy, two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Leaving to mourn his dearly loved children Sophie, Chellis, Greta, Judy, David, Wayne, Shirley, Hazel, Brenda, Ruby, Karen, Linda, Maxine, Lloyd, Colin and their families. Jake also had many nieces, nephews and friends including special friends Charlie and Gloria Bickford. He was a devoted grandfather of 30 and great-grandfather of 42. Visitation at Pendergast Funeral Home, Bell Island on Tuesday May 1, from 2-9 pm. A memorial celebration of his life will be held at St. Cyprians St. Mary's Anglican Church, Bell Island on Wednesday May 2, at 2 pm. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery, Lance Cove. In lieu of flowers, family would appreciate donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 18 Bell Island in Jacob's memory.
