Ruth Lydia (Millard) Rogers, 90, Westmount, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2011.
Born on Oct. 23, 1920, at Bay Head, N.S., she was the daughter of the late William and Maria (Tattrie) Millard.
Ruth is survived by her son, Vaughn Rogers, Cornwall, Ont.; two granddaughters, Michelle, Calgary and Amy Beth (Darren), Springhill; numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and a good friend to many.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Cecil Rogers; sisters, Algreta Lewis, Viola Large, Gertrude Corbett and Lois Wynn; brothers, Edward and William Millard.
Ruth was a member of St. Aidan’s Anglican Church, Westmount and later, the United Protestant Church, Sydney River and Westmount United Church. She was a member of the Canadian Forresters Lodge, Westmount, a life-member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 126, Westmount and a member of the seniors club.
For many years, she was employed with the Woolco Store, Sydney River.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later this month.
