It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Andrew Gallant, peacefully with family by his side, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Wanda (nee Gallant), of North Rustico and formerly of Oyster Bed Bridge, aged 81. He was the loving father of Tommy, Dale (Paula) and Derryl (Jennifer); grandfather of Megan (Travis), Kyle (Sydney), Kenneth (Joanie), Samantha (Kevin), Brennen and Amber-Lynn. Andrew is also survived by his brother, Arthur, brother-in-law, Vincent; sisters-in-law, Freda, Edna and Theresa; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter R. and Josephine (Blanchard) Gallant; parents-in-law, Vincent and Celina “Lynn” (Pineau) Gallant; brothers, Ferdinand, John, Urban and Gregory; sisters, Albina and Lena; sister-in-law, Jillian; and brother-in-law, Maynard. Resting at Central Queens Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Thursday, May 24, 2018, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, Rustico, on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
