BOURQUE, Pauline Emilie – age 93, of Dayton, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Villa St. Joseph-du-Lac, Dayton. Born in Sluice Point, she was the daughter of the late Denis and Catherine (Babin) Muise. During her working life, she was a clerk at Pothier’s Grocery and at the Thistle Knit. She was an avid quilter, loved to knit and enjoyed playing bingo. She will greatly be missed by all. She is survived by her children, Geraldine (Donald) Bourque, Cambridge; Austin Bourque (Carolyn Fitzgerald), Sluice Point; Daniel (Gert) Bourque, Sluice Point; Betty (Mike) Easton, Abrams River; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. Visitation took place on Wednesday May 30 from 6-8 p.m. at H.M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, where the funeral service was held that same evening at 8 p.m. A private family internment will take place in Holy Family Cemetery, Amirault’s Hill at a later date. It has been requested that there be family flowers only. Donations in memory of Pauline may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia.
