Linda Ruth MacDonald (Larter) passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, in her 91st year. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Eldon “Slick”, son Robin “Muffin” and all her siblings and their spouses; Garnet Larter, Thelma Larter, Elinor “Nan” MacCaull (Arnold) Norman “Hawk” Larter (Kay), Dewar Larter (Florence) and Arline Glover (Donald). Linda taught school for 37 years at Rocky Point, Central Queens, Sherwood and Parkdale (24 years). As much as she loved her students, her most precious and favorite role was special “Nana” to the many individuals she adopted into her home and heart as chosen members of her extended family, especially Jonathan Harper. Left to cherish wonderful memories are her daughter Rhian MacDonald, granddaughter Anika Barry (Mikey) and in-laws Ada Gould (Harold, deceased), Ivan MacDonald (Edna), Ruth MacDonald (Herbie, deceased) and numerous nieces and nephews. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home for visitation Sunday 2-5 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Zion Presbyterian Church on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Please join the family for a reception after the funeral.
