Willard passed away peacefully at the Northside General Hospital in North Sydney on Friday, July 13, 2018. Born October 30, 1945 in North Sydney to the late Harold and Janet ‘Nettie’ (Inch) Ball.
Willard lived all his life in Leitches Creek and was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Sydney Mines. He worked at Moores Electric, Winding Motors, Lynk Electric and most recently Marine Atlantic as an electrician and then as 2nd Engineer.
Willard is survived by his sister, Margaret Whatley; his twin brother, Thomas; sister-in-law, Glenda; nieces, Janet and Laura Whatley, as well as several cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Wilson Murray; nephew, Jason, and brother-in-law, John Whatley.
Visitation will take place at Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home in Sydney Mines on Monday, July 16 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17 also from Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home with Rev. Marion Barclay-MacKay officiating. Interment to follow in Lakeside Cemetery. Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.fillmoreandwhitman.com.
