It is with great sadness that we, the family of Lorraine Clarke-Gaskell, announce her passing on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by her loving husband Terry, children, grandchildren and sisters. Born in Terrenceville, NFLD on May 16, 1955 she was the daughter of the late John and Rebecca Clarke.
Lorraine’s family always came first. She was her happiest when surrounded by them.
She is survived by her loving husband, Terry Gaskell; children, Angie (Haven), Richard (Frankie), Holly (Rob) and Jonathan (Robyn); stepsons, Jason (Katie) and Justin (Jenny); eighteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy; siblings, Frank, Margaret, Norman, Sylvia and Pauline.
Besides her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by her sisters, Dorothy and Lillian, and brothers, Michael and George.
Visitation for the late Lorraine Clarke-Gaskell will be held in the JM Jobes Funeral Home Ltd., Sydney Mines, on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, July 27 at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Greg Murphy officiating.
