Date de naissance : 16 avril 1945

Lieu de décès : SYDNEY
Date de décès : 25 juillet 2018

It is with broken hearts that we the family of Thomas Conohan 73, better known as Tucker or Tom by those who loved him, died suddenly on July 25, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital after recently being diagnosed with cancer.
Tucker was born in Sydney to John & Rachel (MacKenzie) Conohan of Sydney on April 16, 1945.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rose (Binns) Conohan who he was proud to declare made him “the luckiest man alive”, three devoted and loving children, Pamela Conohan, Stephen Conohan(Allison), and Chris Conohan (Aimee). The jewels and joy of his life were his precious grandchildren, Noah, Lauren, Monica, Katie and Emily. Tucker was one of fifteen children and the siblings he left behind include his beloved sisters, Kay Violande, Mary Jacobs, Rose Kulczycki, and brothers, David and Alphonse Conohan.
He was predeceased by brothers, Bill, Jimmy, George, Fred, Guy, John, Joseph, and sisters, Lena Vigneau and Anne Maureen Conohan.
His wife, Rose, was one of nineteen children and Tucker was a father, brother and friend to each of them. He worked at the CBRM Public Works Department for 30 years. In his retirement he spent his time devoted to his friends, family, and spreading happiness to all who knew him. Tucker was a part of the Cursillo movement for over 30 years and maintained his devotion and faith in his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ until his last breath. Tucker was an avid Tarabish player, hunter, and Blue Jay fan and enjoyed speaking to people to instruct them on the joy of each. Once his children moved on to careers, Tucker took the opportunity to spend his days with his grandchildren, travelling, and pursuing his hobbies and devotion to the focus of all his world, his Rosie. He left this world to take on a new mission in the next life and to reunite with the countless souls he touched and went on before him and to wait in patient happiness for those he left behind to carry on his mission of quiet friendship and love to all, and the day he will see them all again.
Visitation for Tucker will be held at TW Curry Parkview Chapel in Sydney on Monday July 30, 2018 2-4 and 7-9 with a Funeral Mass at St Theresa’s Church on July 31, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Dennis Lamey presiding.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Tucker’s memory to St. Theresa’s Parish Hall, to Hospice Palliative Care Society of CB or a charity of your choice.
