We, the family of the late William (Willie) Aucoin would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to our family, friends, neighbours and extended family who were so kind during our recent loss. To everyone who telephoned, visited our home, sent cards, flowers, gifts of food, monetary gifts and donations made in Willie’s memory, thank you. To those of you who visited the funeral home and attended Willie’s funeral, we are truly grateful, especially to Tony and Christine who travelled to be with us. Thank you to Willie’s cousin’s Edith and Carol, for being with us and doing anything possible to make things a little easier during a difficult time. To Dr. O’Brien and Palliative Care, no words can ever thank you enough for your care and friendship given to Willie over the years. To the nursing staff of 3 West at Glace Bay General Hospital, thank you for the care, compassion and kindness given to Willie. To the nursing staff at the Cancer Unit at the Regional Hospital, your kindness is beyond words. Thank you to Rev. Bob Biggar for a lovely service and words of comfort, to Edith MacKeign for a lovely eulogy, to Donnie Campbell for beautiful music and to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 5 and Donkin Volunteer Fire Department. To those we may have missed you will never know how much you are appreciated. To Michelle and staff at Patten’s Funeral Home, thank you for your professionalism, sincere kindness and thoughtfulness during our difficult time. We are truly grateful. God bless you all.
