Stanley (Stan) E. Bowser

It is with sad hearts that the family of Stanley (Stan) Earl Bowser announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, August 7, 2018. Stan was 76. Born at Jolicure, N.B. on May 1, 1942, he was a son of the late Earl J. and Alice E. (Oulton) Bowser. Stan was a faithful member of the Faith Baptist Church in New Maryland and was a member of the Board of Trustees at the church. Stan taught school for a number of years in Sackville, N.B., Elgin, N.B. and Havelock, N.B. Desiring to obtain a BA Degree, he attended many summer schools at UNB. Stan also attended Moncton Technical College graduating as an Electronics Technologist. Prior to retiring, he was employed at UNB in the Electrical Engineering Technician Shop where he made many lasting friendships. Stan was a member and treasurer of the Knights of Pythias for a number of years and was a Charter Member of the New Maryland Lions Club. He also volunteered for the VON Foot Clinic. Stan loved to travel and was an avid golfer. One of his favorite pastimes was collecting and restoring antique radios. Stan leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, the former Florence (Flo) Paczkowski; a son Andrew and a daughter Lori (Kevin); brothers, Robert “Bob” (Elizabeth) and Brian (Marcia); a sister Elaine Bowser; a sister-in-law Madeline Leger (David); brothers-in-law Walter Paczkowski (Pam) and Harold Trenholm; a step-brother Gerald Swimm (Paulette); nieces and nephews. Stan had a special love in his heart for his two feline companions, Minnie and Alfie. Aside from his parents, Stan was predeceased by his sister Carol Trenholm and step-mother Wanita Bowser. The family will receive condolences Thursday evening, August 9, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 525 New Maryland Highway, New Maryland, N.B. The funeral service will be held at the Church on Friday, August 10 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Larry Matthews officiating. Interment to follow in the adjoining church cemetery. For those who wish to make a memorial contribution, the family has suggested Faith Baptist Church or the Fredericton SPCA. Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton (458-1885) have been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
