It is with great sadness that the family and friends of Joseph Allan MacIntosh announce his passing at the age of 73, at Celtic Court in Sydney, NS, on Saturday, August 18, 2018.
Allan was born in Sydney on July 3, 1945 to Gertrude Kathleen (Cameron) and Joseph Leonard MacIntosh, both of Sydney. He was one of 13 children, having 6 brothers and 6 sisters. Allan was predeceased by 8 of those siblings.
Allan loved living in Sydney and was known as a jack of all trades, but made his living for a number of years delivering for IGA. He will be remembered as a kind and compassionate soul who lived his life according to the values of the Catholic Church. He had a passion for helping others, singing, a strong cup of coffee and his favorite meal, a bologna sandwich.
Allan spent his final years at Celtic Court and gained many close friendships there. He will be lovingly remembered by all of those whose lives he touched.
A Funeral Service in memory of Allan will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2018 in Celtic Court, 16 St. Anthony Dr. Sydney, with Fr. O’Neill officiating. Memorial donations can be made to the Recreation Department at Celtic Court.
