Gary Andrew Groves
Gary courageously persevered through a prolonged illness resulting from an accident until on Tuesday, August 28, at 65 years of age, Gary passed away in Northside General Hospital. Son of the late Leonard and Elizabeth (Forrest) Groves. Gary is survived by his daughters, Kelly Fry (North Sydney), Amy Parks (Sydney Mines), Angela Almond (Alberta); his son, Dwane Barry (Ontario), grandchildren: Destiny DeVoe, Desaire Pero, Dekaisha Pero, Taylor Parks, Zachery Parks and Zenna Parks; 2 great-grandchildren, Sadie Nipa and Kaylae Parks. Gary is also survived by Yvonne, the mother of his children, his siblings, Leonard “Chippy” (spouse Katie), Glenda Arsenault, Colleen O’Hanley and Chrystal Groves as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gary was a compassionate and caring father & son and he looked after and cared for his mother until her passing.
