We, the loving family of Sharon MacDonald, regret to announce her passing late Tuesday night, August 28, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born October 31, 1945, in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Donnie and Kay MacIsaac.
Sharon was retired from Citizenship and Immigration and was a member of St. Theresa`s Church, Sydney.
She is survived by her partner of 13 years, John Lafford; daughters, Gail and Michelle (Chris), Sydney; son, Gerry Locke, Sydney; grandchildren, Faustina, Taylor, Keagan and Malaya; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Liam and Aveah.
Sharon was predeceased by her husband, Gerald “Gerry” MacDonald.
A special thanks to the staff at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital who cared for Sharon during her time of need. We have a special place in our hearts for each and every one of you.
There will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at St. Theresa’s Church on Tuesday, September 4 at 11 a. m., with Rev. Dennis Lamey officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
