June Arsenault, of Mira Road, Sydney, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Hazel (Wadden) Hardy.
June was a true ‘home-maker’ and took great pride in her cooking and baking that was always a treat for family and friends. In younger years, June enjoyed drives to Lake Ainslie to spend time with her husband and relatives. June always loved a good card game at home or at the Mira Road Fire Hall.
June is survived by son, Glenn (Nancy); grandchildren, Dillon and Chantal; great-grandchildren, Carley and Claire. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford; son, Keith; sisters, Charlotte ‘Chy’ Weatherbee and Blanche Gerard; brothers, Robert, William and Harold.
Funeral service will take place Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. in Sydney Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Bill Burke officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
