Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, Marie Elizabeth Gosse. Predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Edmund; her parents James and Elizabeth Brophy; her three brothers Basil, Paul and Clifton; two sisters Joan Carew and Regina Riggs. Leaving to mourn with broken hearts, her daughter Lynn; son-in-law Peter Graham; grandson Peter; great-granddaughter Taylor; her sisters Ruth Fahey (Philip-deceased), Gerri Cowan (John-deceased), Doreen Lester (Charles); brothers Frank (Kay-deceased), Jim (Lorraine-deceased), John (Pauline) and Wayne (Theresa); sisters-in-law Charlotte Brophy and Lillian Brophy; brothers-in-law Danny Carew and Tom Riggs and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thank you to Nurses and Doctors on 6 West for their care and compassion shown to Mom. At Marie’s request, cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Thursday, October 18th, 2018 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, October 19th, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Parish. Inurnment at a later date. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in her memory to a charity of one’s choice.
