Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre on October 24, 2018, age 77 years. Leaving to mourn his wife Pansy (Roulston) of 52 years, sons: Leo (Irene) and John, daughters: Karen (David), Christine (Bud), Rose and Angela; 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, brothers: Don, Mick, Rick and sister Trish. Predeceased by his parents John and Mary Matthews, brothers Jack, Andy, Kevin, sisters; Rose and Geraldine. A special thanks to his grandson who Pop called “Little Fred”, his friend and buddy that spent his last days, hours and his final moments making him smile and laugh. A special thanks to his daughter Christine and her husband Bud who spent every last minute with him in his last moments, also he was in the heart of his long-time friend Fred. Cremation has taken place by his request.
