It is with great sadness that the family of Lambert Hughes, 76, announces his peaceful passing at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Friday, November 9, 2018. He was predeceased by parents Edith and James Hughes and sisters Lillian and Marian. Lambert will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 46 years Roberta (Hayward), their daughter Cathey (Brent) and his purpose for life, his grandchildren Jane, Kate, Matt, Luke and his special girls Rachel and Claire. Lambert will also be fondly remembered by sister Rhoda Parsons (Lloyd), brothers Wallace (Joanne), Douglas (Jeannie), Cyril (Maxine), and Albert Hughes; his nieces and nephews Aynsley, Bernadine, Marian, Brad, Jason, Brendan, Gerald, Warren, Melissa, Adam along with their families and a large circle of relatives and friends. A special thanks to Michelle Edmunds (Brad) who was like a daughter to him. Huge thank you to special and loyal friends, John Boland and family, Peter and Kathleen Williams for their help and support. Visitation will take place on Monday, November 12 and Tuesday, November 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 from Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 14 at 2 pm from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel. Interment to take place at Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. Expressions of sympathy, donations will be graciously accepted by The Ronald McDonald House.
