Passed peacefully away in Whitbourne, surrounded by her loving family, Lorna MacDonald, age 86. Predeceased by her dear and devoted husband, Vaughan; her parents, Lillian and Arthur Strong; parents-in-law, Elwood and Vera MacDonald; her brothers and sisters Raymond, William, Cecil, Gladys, Elizabeth, and Rosemary. Left to mourn are her children, Scott (Denice), Trent, and Elizabeth; her grandson, Nick (Leanne), her great-grandson, Kade; her sister, Joan Duffitt, her brother Angus (Winnie); a great many nieces and nephews, and many friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Vardy’s Funeral Home on Monday, November 19th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A memorial service will take place at the United Church in Lady Cove on Tuesday, November 20th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully accepted for the School Lunch Program at Random Island Academy.
