It is with great sadness that the family of the late Walter Woodman announce his passing at the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 83 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife and best friend Patsy of 55 years. His daughters: Neta (Kevin), Diana (Barry); his grandchildren: Nancy and Matthew Guy; his sister: Neta, Brenda; his brothers: Melvin, Clarence; his sisters-in-law: Jean Woodman, Maureen Woodman and Joanne Woodman; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Walter was predeceased by his parents John and Lydia Woodman, his granddaughter: Sara Delaney; his brothers: Reginald, Harry, Arthur, Derek; brother-in-law: Richard Williamson. Cremation has taken place. Visitation for family and friends will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Monday, December 10, 2018 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9pm from where the funeral service will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel, on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 2pm with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, there are no flowers by request, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the doctor and staff of the emergency department of WMRH and also to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of WMRH for their kindness and compassion that the family received while Walter was in their care.
