It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our dear, husband, father grandfather, brother and uncle. Our beloved John McIntyre passed away at the QE11 Infirmary hospital in Halifax On December 17th at the age of 71. Son of the late William and Ellen (Nearing) McIntyre.
Leaving behind to mourn his loving wife, Brenda (Radtke); daughter, Gail Lynn (Distefano); son-in-law, Michael (Distefano); son, John (Tammy); grand-children, Michael, Kayla, Christian, and Alexandra. Survived by brothers and sisters, William, Joseph, Michael, Eileen, Betty, and Patricia and several nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed watching the Toronto Blue Jays and Montreal Canadians. John enjoyed his yearly vacations with friends and family. He loved to cook, and his creations will be surely missed.
The family would like to thank The CICU at the QE11 for the tremendous care they provided him.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel 49 Welton Street, Sydney, Dec. 21, 2018 2-4 p.m. Prayers offered by Fr. Everette MacDow & Rev. Joan Griffin with a reading by Christian Distefano.
