Edna T. (Smith) of Canton, formerly of Prince Edward Island, Canada, died peacefully on December 23rd. Beloved wife of Neil. Loving mother of Brian, Allyson Podgurski, her husband Jim and Wayne, all of Canton. Loving grandmother of Morgan MacDonald, Jimmy Podgurski and Katie Podgurski, whom she was very proud. Loving sister of Mary Reilly, Marion Gilbert, Emma Dalton, Sr. Bernice Smith, Phyllis McQuaid (Edward), Gerry Andrews (Fran), Lori Birt and sister in law Marion Smith. Predeceased by siblings Bert (Eileen) Smith, Lucy (Bernie) Doyle, Reg Smith, Anne Latimer, Kay (Bud) McKinnon, Pat Smith and brothers in law Mel Dalton, Jack Gilbert and Terry Reilly. Sister in law of Ronnie (Josephine) MacDonald and Sr. Genevieve MacDonald all of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Visiting hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street, Canton on Friday, December 28, from 4-8 P.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated Saturday 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Church with Fr. Norman MacPhee presiding. Internment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Neighbors in Need Fund at St. Gerard Majella Church.
