Passed peacefully away on Friday, January 11th, 2019, Sheila Mary Morris, in her 91st year. Predeceased by her parents Dr. M. F. and Mrs. L. G. Hogan (nee Guy), her siblings Dr. Guy, Michael and Dr. Joan Hogan. Leaving to mourn, her sisters Ann Hogan and Maureen Doyle, brother-in-law Sid Morris, sister-in-law Rosemary Trimble (Tennessee) and sister-in-law Dean Hogan. Also leaving to mourn, her eight children: Bruce (Patricia), Lynn, Karen (Neil Penney), Stuart, Jane, Colin, Blair (Claudette Kennedy) and Megan, as well as eleven grandchildren: Colin Morris; Hope, Liam and Daniel Bennett; Keegan and Olivia Morris; Grace and Jasper Morris; Hannah and Claire Morris; Katerina Hotjasevs, and great-grandchildren Lawrence and Elise. Special thanks to Sheila’s devoted caregiver Allison Crisby. Throughout her life, Sheila was an active and committed volunteer, contributing countless hours to many charities and community causes. Her unselfish nature, kindness, compassion and generosity had a tremendous impact on all those who knew and loved her. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Visitation will be held at Hickey’s Funeral Home in Kelligrews on Sunday, January 13th from 7-9 PM and Monday, January 14th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas of Villa Nova on Tuesday, January 14 at 11 AM. Donations in Sheila’s memory may be made to the CNIB or a charity of one’s choice.
