Derm passed peacefully away on Friday, January 11th at the Health Sciences Centre surrounded by his loving family and friends. He had a short but hard fought battle with cancer. He is predeceased by his parents John and Eleanor Mcgrath, siblings Milly, Robert, David (Darlene), Elaine (Monty) and infant triplets. Leaving to mourn their loss are his children Devin (Keira-Isabella) and Renée (Chris) as well as their mom Anne-Marie; his brothers Nick (Amanda), Jerome (Holly), Leonard (Sharon), Brian and his sisters Hannah (Ray), and Doreen (Walter). Also, like a brother, his best friend, Tommy Penney and Tom’s amazing wife Jodi, both of whom Derm loved dearly. His long walks in Bowering Park will be especially missed by his best pal and companion Maggie. He will be forever missed by his large family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, countless friends and co-workers that Derm made over the years. A special thanks to the wonderful staff at the Health Sciences Centre, in particular his nurse Sarah, of 4 North B, who went above and beyond her duties to make Derm comfortable. Cremation has taken place and visitation will be held at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, on Tuesday, January 15th from 11 am - 3 pm and 5-9 pm. Flowers are gratefully appreciated or a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice. Derm, you will be missed but not forgotten. Rest easy dad, we love you.
