Louis Francis Bradley

After a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease and more recently cancer, the death occurred on January 27, 2019 at the Palliative Care Centre of Louis Francis Bradley of Charlottetown. Louis was born in St. Teresa’s in 1943 and spent most of his adult life in Ontario before returning to PEI in 2014. He was predeceased by his wife Kirsten Jensen, and by his parents Emmett Bradley and Annie (Morrissey) Bradley and infant brother, Joseph. Louis is survived by, and lovingly remembered by step-daughters Sussie Jensen (Gerard Colin) and Hanne Jensen (Christine Gaucher); step grandchildren Peter Gunn, Natasha Gunn and Alex Gunn; his siblings Josephine (Erwin) Connolly, Kenneth (Shirley), Mervin (Paula), Kelvin (Lorri), Dianne (Garry Doyle), and Whitney (Cynthia); and many nieces & nephews. Louis has donated his remains to the Dalhousie University Body Donation Program. At his request, there will be no visitation. A funeral service for Louis along with other program donors will be held in Halifax at a later date. A private celebration of his life is planned for later this summer. Messages of condolence and memorial donations to the Provincial Palliative Care Centre or Hospice PEI may be made through the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home. During the last few years of his life, Louis resided at Bevan Lodge and Burnside Community Care and the family would like to thank the staff of both facilities for their excellent care and support. Also, a special thanks to the staff and volunteers of the Palliative Care Unit and Hospice PEI for making the last days and weeks of his journey as peaceful and comfortable as possible.
