The death occurred peacefully with family by his side at his late residence on Friday, February 1st, 2019 of John Francis “Frank” MacCormack of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 73 years. Frank was born in St. Johns, Nfld. to the late Dan and Gemma (Gosse) MacCormick. Beloved husband of Louise (nee Gallant) MacCormack and loving father of Laurie (Mark) Gillis, Halifax, NS., Shawn (Shannon) MacCormack, Ashburn, Virginia and Sarah (Dave) Parke, Bonnyville, AB. Also, lovingly remembered by his 5 grandchildren Jack and Lucy MacCormack, Sydney and Jacob Parke and Cormack Gillis. Survived by his brothers and sisters Billie (Claude) Gallant, Gail (Jack) Praught, Larry (Jan), Mary Clair (Rick) Mclagan, Anne (Bud) Brander and Joey (Alan) and several nieces and nephews. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Tuesday, February 5th, then to St. Paul’s Church for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Frank’s memory to East Prince Palliative Home Care or Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
