Peacefully with her family by her side while receiving Palliative Care at the Garden Home Nursing Home on Saturday, February 9, 2019 of Frances Christopher (nee McGuigan) of Charlottetown, age 93 years. Beloved and exceptional mother of daughter Barbara (Barry) Bain and son Paul Christopher. She is survived by five loving grandchildren Amy Bronwyn Bain, Jonathan Barry Bain, Shelley MacNeill, Adam Christopher and Kayden MacKinnon; four great grandchildren, Logan, Ethan, Aiden and Landon MacNeill; daughter-in-law, Eileen MacKinnon. She was predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Josephine (nee McCarey) McGuigan; son, Paul Christopher; sister, Elaine McGuigan and Barbara and Paul’s father, Earl Christopher. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Friday afternoon, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 1:30 p.m. Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
