With much love in my heart and overwhelming gratitude I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who responded and was there for me the night my beloved husband when to Heaven. Thank you to EHS with special mention to Sherry Farrell who laid on our bedroom floor with me and held me while I said goodbye to my husband – I will never forget you Sherry – you are certainly a credit to your profession! Thank you to CBRM Police who were so professional and compassionate, the Organ Transplant Team (9 people received the awaited call that night “we have a donor”). Many thanks to Dr. Virick, Mabel Ann and Sheila for always being there for our family. Thank you to Dr. Hatim Malik who stayed at our home and went to the hearse with Dave – it meant so much!
Special thanks to Sheldon Chant for the beautiful service, Jim Delaney, who went above and beyond, and the amazing girls, Nicole, Amanda and Jill who were always so helpful and so ready to offer a hug. Thank you, Andrew Doyle, for the beautiful music and for singing our wedding song. Thank you to East Bay Legion Branch 151 for the lovely service at the funeral home – It gave us peace and I know Dave was so proud of each of you.
Special love and thanks to our sister, Judy Farrell, for the beautiful eulogy for her beloved brother, our niece Faith for the special memories of her Uncle Dave, life long friend Earl O’Neil for the touching amusing stories which brought a smile to everyone.
Special thanks to Clarence MacDonald in Ontario who was Dave’s employer and good friend for many years, also Mrs. MacDonald, Lana, Keith, Jeff and all the boys. I know you all miss him dearly and will never forget him.
Special love and thanks to my Celtic Court family who are always there for me with their love, hugs and tears – I don’t know what I’d do without you!
We are grateful for the beautiful floral arrangements, Mass and sympathy cards, monetary and memorial donations and coming to the funeral home with us to say goodbye to your dear friend. We are blessed with our loving family and friends, the BEST neighbors in the world who are there for us each day – May God Bless each and every one of you – Rest in Peace, my darling husband, precious “Poppy” – until we meet again.
