It is with heartfelt sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Johnena Bird on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with loving family at her side.
Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the late George and Ida Bird. She was a member of St. Mary’s Anglican church.
Surviving are four daughters; one son; sisters, Mary Johnston and Laura Brocklebank; and brother, Robert.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by two sons; brothers, Ronald and Richard and sister, Margaret.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Friday, February 22 from 1-2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Anglican Church Glace Bay with service to follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ruby Carter officiating. Interment to take place at a later date in parish cemetery
