I, the daughter of the late Velma Cameron, would like to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to everyone who showed their constant love, kindness and compassion for Mom during her illness and in her final days. A special thank you to her sister, Catherine Hill for her beautiful tribute to Mom at her service and also for being my guidance when I was unsure or just needed someone to talk to. I am truly grateful. To the nursing staff on 4A and 4B at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital and the Palliative care team for making me and Mom so cozy on her last night, so that I was able to hold my Mom all night until she took her final breath. To the VON nurses that provided Mom with such special care when Mom was home. She truly enjoyed each and everyone of you. A special thank you to Moms brother, Nelson Hill for always providing Mom with your constant love and kindness through the years, thank you. Thank you to Sheldon Chant, Jill Nemis and Erin Lewis for giving Mom the beautiful service she deserved. An extra special thank you to Frankie AuCoin for arranging the bagpipes for Mom at the graveyard, I can’t express to you how much that touched my heart. To everyone that attended the funeral, sent flowers and made donations in Moms name, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I was truly blessed with one amazing Mom and I miss her more than anything.
