It is with great sadness that the family of the late Janet Adams announce her passing at the James Paton Memorial Health Care Centre on Sunday March 3, 2019, at the age of 61 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Don; father, Thomas Gear, and father-in-law, Lew Adams. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her mother, Lucy Gear; sons: Stephen, Marcus, and Michael; brothers: Paul Gear (Mary), Michael Gear (Kat Ryan), Robert Gear (Ursula); sister Jocelyn Downton (Ed); mother-in-law Abigail Adams; sister-in-law Carolyn Chaulk (Wayne); nieces & nephews: Chris, Janet, Sara, David, Krista, Loretta, Wanda, Robyn, Luke and Zak. Visitation was held at Stacey’s Funeral Home, 60 Roe Avenue, Gander on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 from the St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Father William Hearn with interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, charitable donations in Janet’s memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
