The death occurred peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre, Charlottetown, on Monday, March 18, 2019, of Ruth Roberta Sentner (nee Whitlock), wife of the late Raymond Sentner, of Hunter River, in her 90th year. Ruth was born in New Hampshire on November 18, 1929, and moved to Canada in the 1930's, where she married Raymond Sentner. They raised 8 boys while working outside the home at a variety of positions. She was the loving mother of Brian Whitlock (Lynn), Allan (Marlene), Wendell (Louise), Winston (Karen), Everett, Kevin (Mary Jo), Roger (Darlene), daughter-in-law, Vickie Sentner; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Ruth is also survived by her brothers, Chester Whitlock and Roy Whitlock; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Ruth was predeceased by her parents, Chester and Ruth (Minard) Whitlock; and son, David. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 New Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Thursday, March 21, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral will be held at Central Queen’s Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at a later date in Greenvale United Church Cemetery.
