To our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and wife;
On March 21, 2019, we felt peace and love as your soul soared to be reunited with our brothers, our sons, our uncles. On March 21, the remarkable life of Hilda Delores (LeBlanc) MacKinnon was complete.
Our Mom was born in Sydney Mines on May 28, 1940, to the late Leander and Violet LeBlanc.
In her day, Mom was an avid gardener, and her leaving this world on the first full day of Spring was comforting.
Mom was predeceased by her two sons, Donnie and Ron, and her spirit was always longing to be reunited with her boys. In addition to her boys, Mom was predeceased by her son-in-law, Pat Brogan; brothers, Ronnie and Sie, and sister, Annie Mae.
More than anything else in her life book, we recall a life of unconditional loving and caring as her children and loved ones. Oh, the stories we could tell! Oh, the memories and life lessons we have to guide us.
Our Mom is survived by our Dad, her husband, Hector MacKinnon Sr., and her children, Marlene, Adrian, Danna, Hector Jr. (Nancy), Archie (Gregory), and Scott (Sonya). Our Mom was an exceptional grandmother to Richard & Roger, Ashley, Lori, Danielle & Hector 3rd, Holly, David & Kenny, Katelynn, Scott Jr. & Dakota, Courtney, Ceilidh & Dylan, Jessica and A.J. Our Mom was a great-grandmother to Shelby-Lyn, Isabel, Hunter, Andrew, Ryan, Chloe, Sophia, Olivia, Jake, Danilynn, Erica, Augustus, Sinead, Micah, Sawyer, Erica and Maddison.
Mom is also survived by her brother, William and sister, Philomena.
Our Mom always taught humility, and following her wishes, we will have a family service to celebrate her beauty, spirituality, generosity and love.
We have been loved. We are loved. We wish you love.
