It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of our dear father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Blair Johnson, age 75 on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Francis and Clarice (Crocker) Johnson.
In his younger years, he was a meat cutter and a painting contractor. He loved animals and enjoyed taking his dog for walks to the “bog”. Blair enjoyed taking care and tinkering in his yard.
Blair is survived by his children, Stephen Johnson, (Kelly) and Laurie (Terry) Myles; brother, John Allan (Gladys) Johnson; sister, Marilyn Chant (Eric); his pride and joy, his grandchildren, Christopher, Kennedy, Marissa and Chance, as well as nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Florence; daughter, Tanya; sister, Sharon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA or Palliative Care Unit, Regional Hospital.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2019 with Rev. Ruby Carter officiating at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199). Reception to follow.
