With broken hearts, the family of Edith Marie Gallant of Summerside and formerly of Abram-Village, wish to announce her passing on Friday, April 5th, 2019 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown at the age of 65 years. Edith is survived by her loving mother Doreen Arsenault (née Barriault), her brother Roy (Rita), niece Chantal (Scott) of Calgary, AB, nephews Serge (Melanie) of Stratford, PEI and Michel of Surrey, BC. She will also be fondly remembered by grand-niece and grand-nephew Brielle and Caleb Gallant and by several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Tilmon Gallant and step-father Alyre Arsenault. Edith was a devoted member of the Saint-Philippe et Saint-Jacques Church. Resting at the Évangéline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville, until Thursday, April 11th and then to the Saint-Philippe et Saint-Jacques Church, Egmont Bay for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery will take place at a later date. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 10th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Edith's memory to the Kidney Foundation or to the CNIB would be greatly appreciated.
