The death occurred on Monday May 6, 2019 at home in Cornwall, surrounded by his family, of Wendell Harper formerly of Tignish aged 71 years. He is survived by special partner Eileen Butler, sons Michael (Lorie), Joedy (Kelly), Randy (Ellen), Bill (Stiana). Loving grandfather to Toni, Destiny, Amanda, Justin, Ben, Rebecca Harper and Alex Butler (Mikayla Arsenault). Great-grandfather to Serena Butler. Dear brother to Colleen Gaudet (Victor), Ed (Marion), Charlene Gaudet (Russell), Melita Chaisson (late Aubrey), Brenda Doucette (Dennis), Tommy (Jean), Reggie (Debbie), Irene Phillips (Donald), Ruby (Daryl Pitre) and Anne Arsenault (Joe). Also survived by aunts Rachel Miller, Annie Harper and Kay Profit and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents Reginald and Patricia (Profit) Harper, nephews Ross and Conner Gaudet, Jesse Harper, brother-in-law Aubrey Chaisson. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road for visiting hours Thursday 6 – 9 pm and Friday from 9 – 10 am. Funeral will be held Friday May 10, 2019 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Canadian Diabetes Association or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Interment will take place at a later date in St. Simon & St. Jude Cemetery, Tignish.
