We, the family of the late Joan Peddle/Alsbury would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those who offered condolences and comforting words during and after Mom’s passing. To those who sent food, cards, called, texted; and those who visited our Mom during her illness we are thankful, your thoughtful actions helped ease our pain.
We would like to acknowledge the tireless efforts of the staff of Alderwood Extended Care Facility, the staff of Victoria County Hospital in Baddeck, indeed all who made Mom’s last days as comfortable as was humanly possible. Also to the congregation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Baddeck, their Kingdom Hall, and Robert Lambie for delivering a wonderful reading there. To J.M. Jobes Funeral home in Sydney Mines, thank you for your kind professionalism in our time of need. And lastly, please remind yourselves of Mom’s last wishes; try to perform a small, random act of kindness every day. The person on the receiving end of this act may or may not be aware that you did it; but the important thing is that you did.
