The family of the late John Barney Black expresses its gratitude to all who attended Barney’s visitation and funeral. Sincere thanks to those who sent Mass offerings, memorial donations, floral arrangements, condolences, cards and prayers. The outpouring of sympathy and support is a testament to the respect and affection felt for Barney. He would have been pleased and humbled by the response. Special thanks to Father Paul Murphy of Holy Redeemer Church who conducted the service and gave such a meaningful homily, capturing the essence of Barney‘s life. Thanks to the altar servers, eucharistic ministers, Barney‘s nieces and nephew who did the readings, and the amazing choir of Holy Redeemer Parish who provided such uplifting music. Thanks to the Pier Community Funeral Home for their professionalism and for hosting the reception after the service. The family also thanks Tom Merner of Kwik Copy Printing for preparing the remembrance bookmarks. The Black family appreciates each and every one of you.
