Doris Setka

Doris Setka, age 91 years, passed away peacefully on Thursday June 23, 2011 with family members at her side. Doris was living in Ilarion residence and she will miss her many friends at Ilarion and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of All Saints. Prayer Service will be held on Monday, June 27 at 7:00 pm at Ukrainian Orthodox Church of All Saints, 2609 Louise Street. Funeral Service will be held at the church on Tuesday June 28 at 10:00 am. Both services will be conducted by Very Reverend B. Demczuk. Doris will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Marjorie (Gary) and her three sons Richard (Heather), Garry (Kathy) and Eugene (Jane). She was the grandmother to David, Colleen, Arthur, Martin, Curtis, Ross, Shannon, Heather, Erin, Toria and Morgan. In addition, Doris had eight great grandchildren: Max, Jayah, Taryn, Dexton, Owen, Ava, Mariana and Shayen. Doris was born in Strong Pine, Sask. She lived and worked with her husband John in Smeaton, Sask. and moved to Saskatoon in 1967. John predeceased Doris in 1981. All of Doris’s siblings have predeceased her. Doris was a proud long time member of the Ukrainian Women’s Association of Canada, Hanka Romanchych Branch.In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Ilarion Residence Chapel Fund.
