Date de décès : 14 août 2011

SCHWERDEL, DONNA MARIE (ARMOUR) - Passed away peacefully on August 14, 2011 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB at the age of 69. Donna was the youngest daughter of the late Emery and Evelyn (Carr) Armour. Donna is survived by her husband, Hans; three sisters, Marjorie Farrell of Woodstock, NB, Gladys (Marvin) Foster of North Lake, NB, and Ruth (Russell) Boone of Riverview, NB; four beloved nieces, Patti (Trent) Hatcher of Riverview, NB, Debbie Finigan of Saint John, NB, Lucille (Greg) MacDonald of Dartmouth, NS, and Becky (Edward) Betts of Saint John, NB; five nephews, Cameron (Rhonda) Farrell of North Lake, NB, Kevin (Janey) Farrell of Richmond Corner, NB, Greg (Jane) Foster of North Lake, NB, Tracey (Luanne) Foster of Moncton, NB, and her favorite, Richard Boone of Moncton, NB; seven great-nieces, Julie, Emily, Amy (Christian) Crete, and Angie (Micheal), Kelly, Erika, and Jessica; four great-nephews, Lance, Adam, Kyle and Jordan; one very special great-great-niece, Jayla McLeod; two uncles, Richard (Dorothy) Armour of Qualicum Beach, BC, and Lewis Armour of Waterville, NB; four aunts, Catherine Armour, Smyrna Mills of Maine, USA, Lillian Williams of Woodstock, NB, and Audrey Collins of Sechelt, BC; as well as numerous cousins. Donna also leaves behind her soul mate in teaching, Janet Clark of Brownsburg-Chatam, QC. Their motto was "Every mind is so precious and not to be wasted". Besides her parents, Donna was predeceased by her brother in law, Paul Farrell. Her whole life she was devoted to teaching, and she enjoyed grades 5-6 most of all. She felt the children at this level were getting inquisitive and starting to question the world around them. She strove to answer their questions by making them consider the question from all sides and draw their own conclusions, to think outside the box. Donna was able to inspire those around her to always strive to greater heights. She has had many students contact her, years after they had graduated, to thank her for instilling the self-confidence they required as they made their way through higher education and then the responsibility of adulthood. Once retired, Donna enjoyed her home at the Eel River Lake, where she was always puttering around her numerous flower beds, walking though the woods and always marveling how perfect nature was no matter which season.
With respects to Donna's wishes, there will be no visitation. Followed by cremation, a private family celebration of her life will be held at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made a charity of the donor's choice. www.scottfh.com
